About the GSCS Web System
The Global Supply Chain System project started in the beginning of 1999 during a brain-storm meeting. The procedures for the tracking/consolidating methods were already born and the need for computerized support a factor for success. However, since no solution or product on the market was flexible enough to adapt to the new ideas, we decided to build our own tailor-made system.
A demo system was created for facilitating the requirements elicitation and generated a very precise requirements document. This was later used to design and implement the pilot model which was completed at the end of 1999.
